Heckler (2007)

HECKLER is a comedic feature documentary exploring the increasingly critical world we live in. After starring in a film that was critically bashed, Jamie Kennedy takes on hecklers and critics and ask some interesting questions of people such as George Lucas, Bill Maher, Mike Ditka, Rob Zombie, Howie Mandel and many more. This fast moving, hilarious documentary pulls no punches as you see an uncensored look at just how nasty and mean the fight is between those in the spotlight and those in the dark.

Of course I see here, just like the movie everyone is a critic. There was nothing wrong with this movie. It was insightful and informative. Let me see just an average person, an accountant or something, get on stage and tell jokes. Let's see what happens then.

I loved how it opened up. It's not 80 minutes of hecklers at comic clubs, it's also about bloggers, how critics go WAY too far, focus groups and basically how everyone loves to be a hater nowadays. Some of it comes off a little whiny but there is alot to like here.

I hate Hecklers so I'm with them on that, but t turned into a giant whine fest and I disagree with their idea of critics. The people sounded like babies complaining about how critics write mean things about them. I understand going after the actor personally is wrong but being harsh on a movie and acting ability isn't. They know when they put themselves out there and are open to criticism.

Heckler doesn't penetrate like a proper documentary should; it's more silly than exploratory, missing a prime opportunity to crack open a dialogue between critic and performer that could generously benefit both parties.

A very entertaining documentery, especialy in the first half. Offers an interesting perspective on an intriguing topic. Starts to meander and gets a little to defensive but still worth seeing.
