Disturbing at times, but an amazing look into what happened in Vietnam.

immanently relevant and meaningful documentary about the Vietnam War, and in particular, American government's failure in handling said war.

A powerful documentary about the Vietnam war. Having seen at least a dozen or more documentaries about that war, what i found most interesting about this film is that most of it was shot DURING the war. The contrast between the struggle for American Independence and Vietnam's is very telling argument!

this is probably the hardest documentary a person could watch. it is brutally strung together almost as though the film were a war itself. its not hard to tell that this is a film dive-bombing american apathy, but for me it seemed more enlightening not on the level of "america is terrible" (not that that isnt true about vietnam) but on the level that people enjoying the destruction of others. i know it sounds trite but i dare you to watch it with that in mind and see if that doesnt strike your soul. much of the footage is absolutely horrifying, so i dont recommend this as education for your children. its hard to watch as an adult. and while this is certainly not the most unbiased approach to a subject it does what it intends to do and it does it very well. which is scary.

A film every American should see. I am a Vietnam vet and I can attest to the senseless slaughter the war produced. I still am struggling with the aftermath and the fact that I was a voluntary party to the injustice. My country really let me down. Please see this film. The wars going on today are no different than Vietnam only the treatment of the vets has changed for the better. We as a country have a lot of soul searching to do and get the hell out of other country's affairs!
