Along with a lot of 10-gallon laughs, Happy, Texas rustles up plenty of goodwill for its larcenous, sexually ambiguous leading men.

Stephen Farber 09 Jan 2002

Jeremy Northam gives a deft performance and Steve Zahn is especially brilliant in delineating his character's transformation from illiterate lug to finicky choreographer.

Andy D 06 Jul 2007

Terribly cliche and predictable, but I do love Steve Zahn.

Susan Stark 01 Jan 2000

Northam provides low-key comic counterpoint to Zahn's hilariously manic turn. Macy's deadpan, earnest sheriff is the one to watch, though.

Peter Travers 16 Dec 2009

A fresh, well-written comedy that doesn't lag, casts its actors against type and has a real love for its characters.
