I love Steve Zahn, so seeing him in action in this film was hysterical! Classic secret identity mayhem that didn't stress me out too much. And (10 gallon) hats off to William H Macy!

So full of winning performances and so disarmingly uncynical in its affection for its characters, it manages to leave you with a Texas-size grin on your face anyway.

this movie is hilarious. i have family that lived in happy texas for 15 years or so, so i think its really funny they made a movie about this little town of about 100. the sign they show when they drive in to town really is film footage of the sign they actually have up outside of town. anyhoo, this move really is surprisingly funny -- you'll laugh hysterically.

Northam provides low-key comic counterpoint to Zahn's hilariously manic turn. Macy's deadpan, earnest sheriff is the one to watch, though.
