another good animated film from the DC universe about the famous green lantern, hal jordan

to me, in the world of DC, there's only four major players...batman, superman, the flash, and green lantern. i'm so excited that green lantern finally has the spotlight. this is one of the best animated movies dc or marvel has put out. it's the story of hal jordan and how he becomes a member of the green lantern corp., an organization that fights evil and restores peace throughout the galaxy. it definitely has a star wars feel to it. the green lanterns are like jedi knights and there are different alien species throughout the movie. the animation and action in this movie are awesome. just recently, ryan reynolds was annouced that he will play hal jordan in the live action movie version of green lantern. i actually think he'll make a good green lantern and if the live action version is as good as the animated version, it is going to be one bad ass movie. with special effects these days, there's so many cool things they can do with the power of the green lantern rings.

The Green Lantern has always been my favorite superhero so when I heard the animated film was coming out I was excited but a little nervous all at the same time. Thankfully, I was no disappointed. As far as animated films go this is hands down the best animated superhero movie I have seen to date. I would even say it stands up against any live-action superhero film. The animation and voice acting is top notch. They dump you right into the Green Lantern universe almost right away and do a very good job of carving out Hal Jordan's character. If I had one complaint it would be that 77 minutes was too short of a film length as I could have easily sat through someone twice that length.
