Green Dragon (2001)

A tale about Vietnamese refugees sent to an orientation camp on the Camp Pendleton Marine Base in California, 'Green Dragon' focuses on a young boy and his sister. Set in 1975, the film chronicles the stories told to the two children by other refugees in the camp and of Tai Tran, who dares to introduce himself to Sergeant Jim Lance.

This one gets 5 stars because I am in it twice!!! Look for the Marine operating the movie projector and the guy in the Uncle Sam outfit handing sparklers to children.

Time to hit the film festivals....! A film that was completed with a fellow student was given the thumbs up....in my acting class...(actually, all the films were good). Here's hoping, we can get a festival to pick ours up!:D

6.5/10. Poignant and believably done. The cast is terrific. An inspiring fact based story. Nice score. You can not help but feel much sympathy for these displaced Vietnamese.

Very natural movie and it really touched my heart. I think it gives a good portrayal of what happened at the time the good and the bad (but not the very bad)
