Gozu (2003)

Minami mistakenly kills a gangster associate of his named Brother. Almost as soon as the murder takes place, the body of the deceased man is gone, prompting Minami to conduct a search. While looking, he finds a mysterious isolated hotel where he decides to take a rest. Not only are the front desk clerks a bit strange, but even the ambiance feels unusual. Minami soon realizes he may have gotten more than he bargained for.

Actually Miike's best film thus far. Deserves multiple viewings, and may seem like a minor work at first, but slowly creeps up on you over the years. Or, at least, it crept up on me.

one of the most disgusting, degrading, mindraping films to ever come out. it has scarred me in many ways. but i am compelled to tell everyone to see it. this 5 stars is on the fucked up-o-meter, not regular shit.

My favorite Miike movie. I loved the modern perverse twists on Japanese and Buddhist mythology. I guess I found the "eww gross he's nursing from his sister!" to be perversely funny rather than "ew dat's wrong so i gunna say dis movie is bad". Just think about REAL perversions that occur everyday in our world and enjoy the surrealist sexual nonsense this movie has to offer.

Unfortunately I did not catch the end of this, But I liked all of what I saw. Definitely a weird ass Miike movie. Again, outpours of the dark Miike humor are wrought throughout the movie. Definitely worth a look and I'm definately going to finish watching it.
