Extremely underrated Marx film with hilarious gags at the beginning, not quite as funny in the middle, but has one of the greatest endings ever put to film by the end.

For all the classic screen comedians who went west it's surprising to see the Marx Bros. actually do it justice better than others. It's not equal to their best but it's a pretty solid entry late in their cannon.

As far as Marx Brothers movies go, this was rather not-marvelous. Note: that's only in comparison to their other movies, it's still pretty darn entertaining. But certainly not one of the best. Glad I saw it but I wouldn't run out and buy it any time soon.

Go West is a short, funny and extremely enjoyable movie but it's hardly well put together. The Brothers, Groucho in particular, just kind of meander around, totaly aware of how silly the movie is and, seemingly, being perfectly content with it.

The usual assortment of absurd jokes, outrageous puns, and virtuoso musical performances by the Marx brothers. This may look outdated today, but we must remember that people didn't have the same array of entertainment in 1940 as we have today. And 'Go West' also has a story (which some of the other Marx bros films sometimes seem to lack).
