Benny Chan directs the sequel to Gen X Cops with a brand new cast. It's got plenty of action but doesn't quite hit the heights of the first.

A fun sci-fi action/comedy B-movie. Big fans of Q and Rudd might want to take a look, but the dialog, music, comedy and some effects are pretty bad. The stunts and explosions give the film some redeeming qualities in addition to the Short Circuit-esque plot.

pretty decent except for a couple of things. having edison, kurt english dubbed out and the fact a killer robot is a enemy is kinda pathetic but theres lots of humor and decent action scenes

A killer robot? Benny Chan went too far this time, and he knows it. Stephen Fung and Sam Lee knows it too, but at least they're having fun. Nobody involved in the making of this movie could possibly have taken their tasks very seriously, except perhaps for that brainless bastard Edison Chen. In fact, if it weren't for Edison and that incredibly forced ebonics he speaks throughout, Gen-Y Cops wouldn't be so bad. Hopefully, Nic Tse will return with a vengeance in Gen-Z Cops and kick his ass.
