Forks Over Knives (2011)

Examines the profound claim that most; if not all; of the degenerative diseases that afflict us can be controlled; or even reversed; by rejecting our present menu of animal-based and processed foods. The idea of food as medicine is put to the test. Cameras follow "reality patients" who have chronic conditions from heart disease to diabetes. Doctors teach these patients how to adopt a whole-foods, plant-based diet as the primary approach to treat their ailments - while the challenges and triumphs of their journeys are revealed.

This movie...is friggin' amazing. Dunno why the reviews need to be so harsh. They just don't wanna hear the truth. Sure it's a little repetitive, but repetition is how things get across more easily. If you have Netflix, guys, please, go there, look it up. It's on instant, and I just watched it. Just do it. Keep watching even if you don't want to hear what they are saying. Because it's another inconvenient truth. However...it's an inconvenient truth that can change your life in the positive direction.

Extremely informative, this documentary should be shown in as many places as possible. I'm surprised it didn't receive big distribution deals. A must watch.

Very informative! Check it out. You'd be surprised and feel more empowered about how what you eat affects you more than you realize. I won't give up meat entirely, but will be more conscious about following a plant based diet.
