I was a fan of this. I saw it because well... when the new release shipment showed up it had a cool cover and Guy Pierce who I've always liked as an actor so I figured what the hell and popped it in. Watching it without knowing what it was about I was pleasantly suprised how much I enjoyed the basic plot and I found it all around quite believable and it raises that question of fate and would you want to know what die you will die.

Good Indie thriller with Guy Pearce at the helm. William Fincher needed more screen time.

I was expecting more. The story is alright but it dragged some at moments. I liked the ending. It is basically a story about guilt and redemption. Guy Pearce plays a man who feels guilt over letting a friend pay for what they both did. His conscience sparks a journey in which he confronts this guilt and tries to redeem himself. I thought the performances were fine. There was just something missing, but I'm not sure what. I suggest viewing it, but I'm not sure if I'd really reccomend it.

Nothing special. After Memento, I've come to expect bigger and better things from Guy Pearce, who I still feel is the most slept-on actor out there. He's okay here, but he's been stronger in better movies, like L.A. Confidential. The supporting cast is relatively weak and could have done more. I got the message that the movie was trying to send (don't let fear of your fate affect how you live your life), but I just wish that the story was more engaging with the audience.
