What a meagre affair. Only a handful of entertaining moments cannot mask the tame attempt at making an artistic feel good film.

4/5★ Bollywood has many variations, but they mostly stay within excepted conventions. Finding Fanny breaks those conventions and brings Wes Anderson style quirkiness to Bollywood. There is a studied quietness, in contrast to the constant frenzy in Bollywood films. The cinematography is all pastel and natural light, the cast, for the most part, restrained. The films is by no means perfect, but it is charming.

If you're remotely familiar to the Goan culture, you'll find "Finding Fanny" incredibly funny. All the actors have performed supremely well, but Naseeruddin Shah and Pankaj Kapur are especially funny. The film, though set in Goa, has several sub plots that may ring true with many. The cinematography is amazing and will make you want to make a trip to non-touristy Goa immediately!
