It’s hard to tell which of the cast is more winning, but all credit to a grizzled Hanks for sharing the screen with a scene-stealing mutt and a bucket of screws.

Finch is a passing movie created to fill the Apple TV + library. The film is completely unremarkable except for the excellent acting of Tom Hanks. The plot is one big cliché, the end of the film is even worse, it is the same cliché. There is a good camera job and a couple more jokes from Jeff's robot, but you should not wait for more.

25 years ago, Could anyone dream of tom hanks talks to a dog and a cgi puppet in a apple+ movie. but here we are. Tom hanks talks to a dog, creates a robot for the dog and all three flee to san fransico in a post apocalyptic world. that`s all. it not good. its not entertaining.

Despite the ticking clock of Finch’s rapidly progressing illness, the movie doesn’t build up much urgency or excitement. The script is pretty thin, almost all premise and little incident. But director Miguel Sapochnik has the eye to make this world compellingly hostile and bleak, and that counts for something.
