A very intense grindhouse classic about a racist excaped convist and a black family...i like it.

A trio of escaped prisoners (William Sanderson is brilliant as the maniacal leader) hold a family hostage. This movie has rape and graphic child murder, but its really shocking feature is the racist dialog. There's no moral ambiguity here; the film is clearly pro-vengeance, pro-vigilante, anti-pacifist. A fine example of a film that would never find distribution if it were made today.

This could be taken so offensively. It is a really trashy racist film. There is a revenge theme but it is not satisfying. They really don't make enough of the revenge. You want the revenge to be more savage than the previous torture but it never is. Maybe you want the revenge to be more painful than the episode for the victims in some twist of reality. Either way this reaches neither and babbles along shouting racial slurs. Interesting to see how offensive life could be but ultimately unsatisfying. In one word: Racist

Such a misleading movie poster. The language on this is quiet shocking and it is easy to see why it was banned upon its release in 1977. William Sanderson is one nasty little weasel faced cunt. One scene in particular is real shocking and brutal but when you want the film to be nasty it fails to deliver. Lt. Reilly is a remarkable human being.
