This is an emotional experience for anyone who has anything to do with the Performing Arts. This movie marks the amazing creation of A CHORUS LINE and also documents the year long audition process and casting process of the recent Broadway Revival. It is raw, it is honest, and there are moments that make you weep. Not to be missed!!!!!

I forgot I was watching a movie and became completely lost in the story. It's a brilliant idea to do a movie about the making of a play which is about the making of a play. And, I hate Tyce Diorio from "So You Think You Can Dance," so my guilty pleasure was watching him get busted for being too arrogant. I think this is the first movie I've given a 100% rating to, and it's so incredibly deserved.

fascinating and moving - i do guess you'd need to be a fan of A Chorus Line, but i think that's a pretty universal musical, in that it's gritty and funny like musicals usually aren't. the way they've juxtaposed footage and interviews about the original conception of the show with auditions and profiles of the revival is charming and effective. it's really riveting and moving, and there isn't a slow spot in it.

Excellent! "A Chorus Line" was the first show I saw on Broadway and it, today, remains as one of my top two favourites. The real bonus with this documentary is the early footage of when the original show was still being planned. A must see for every dancer and a must see for anyone who's ever dreamed of doing anything.

I laughed, I cried. An astonishing documentary for anyone who's ever auditioned for ANYTHING... whether a Broadway show or just a job at Starbucks. The phrase "I really need this job" is so powerful, and so true. And if you're a Broadway fan, this film is a true slice of heaven. As documentary films go, it's beautifully crafted -- nice arc-ing storyline, amazing character development, bits of history, very nice. Made me wish I'd seen the revival while it was still playing on Broadway (2006). But also made me happy in remembering every Broadway show I've ever seen, and there are many.
