Beautifully done and effectively shot. Roberts takes care to treat this subject with the severity it actually entails, but refuses to create a over-dramatization where it isn't needed.

The stunningly shot film makes a powerful statement about not only the heroic efforts of health workers but also about how the disease affects people's lives.

Impressive though the results of the WHO’s campaign to eradicate polio may be, it is Zaidi’s lensing of the streets, waterways and people of Pakistan that lingers in the mind.

Grim but worthwhile, this documentary on the war against polio in Pakistan often recalls our own anti-vaxer movement, with needlessly sickened children the depressing commonality.

What’s true in Pakistan turns out to be universal: Misconceptions can prove as dangerous as any disease and are even harder to eradicate.
