This was terrible, and going in I liked the idea of Hounsou carrying a Thai action flick with Bacon. But the sniping scenes are implausible, the Buddhist imagery seems insulting, and the supernatural element incredibly forced and awful. Pinkaew repeats himself, with urban chase sequences, sex slavery, elephant imagery, the fallen hero's spiritual comeback montage, etc. - all done better before with less expense and more raw talent being captured.

Djimon Honsou's latest movie with Kevin Bacon 'Elephant White' is pretty good. Basically a Jason Bourne/Christian-Bale-in-Equilibrium character takes on the sex trafficking trade in Thailand. So of course an over the top entertainment movie with real morals tagged on at the end.

A solid actioner starring kevin Bacon as a weapons dealer and Djimon Hounsou as a mercenary, hired to annihilate a sex-trafficing gang. This a Thai film, so the pace is somewhat odd, and there's some symbolism that you wouldn't expect in a movie like this one.

Dear lord this was an awful movie. The direction was bad, the editing was horrible and there were many scenes that frankly should have been redone. The actors didn't believe what they were saying, and so it was to hard for the audience to do so either. End result: you couldn't stop remembering that you were watching a movie. Ugh. Zero stars.
