As we see Stritch carry on, still performing into her eighties, battling the physical and mental ravages of time, it's obvious she was no sissy.

We are shameless Elaine Stritch fans and have waited months until this extraordinary DVD arrived. It is raw, poignant, and so, so real. There is no hiding behind the lens in watching a legend age. Our deep thanks for Ms. Strich allowing the camera to capture her cope with her memories and her demons, not to mention ongoing and worsening health challenges. Together with "At Liberty," these iconic documentaries tug at our heartstrings and bring a healthy dose of laughter through tears. Brava!

It's a well made documentary, but the movie tries to glamorize an unlikable subject and in doing so, makes the experience much less pleasant.

At 88, after nearly seven decades in show business, Ms. Stritch is sharp, funny, brittle, caustic, demanding, exaggerated, critical (especially of herself) and infuriating. She is also elaborately unique and awesomely brilliant.

Brilliant portrayal of a true Broadway diva. Elaine at her most vulnerable: playing herself.
