Eden Log (2007)

A man wakes up deep inside a cave. Suffering amnesia, he has no recollection of how he came to be here or of what happened to the man whose body he finds beside him. Tailed by a mysterious creature, he must continue through this strange and fantastic world. Enclosed, Tolbiac has no other option to reach the surface than to use REZO ZERO, secret observing cells in this cemetery-like abandoned mine.

A man pieces together his memories--we are taken along for his journey, born anew and then through the maze and sub-levels of his mind. Sculptors and fine junk collectors (Wayne Coyne types) may appreciate the environment.

It's a trip, one big trip. I wanna watch it again so I can dissect it even more. The imagery I enjoy but the story can get a bit confusing. There are questions remaining but at the same time I feel like I don't need the answer. It was very interesting.

If you can find a way to ignore the abysmal acting in this movie, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at just how badass it really is. Sure, the plot doesn't make much sense, but the way it is shot is simply stunning, offering you very few colors and an incredibly dark atmosphere. Actually, my favorite part of the entire movie was the sound. The score was good, but it was lost in the background of the sound effects. Every sound in the movie is damn near audible: you can hear cloth rubbing against itself, you hear rocks crunching under foot, you hear heavy breathing, you hear water dripping. It's actually really intense just how much better the experience is if you have surround sound. Pretty cool movie; definitely worth seeing.

loved the cinematography and for a low budget film the production quality was amazing. but as far as story telling not one of my favorite Scifi movies and the acting was hit or miss.
