I'll go ahead and fully commit to Four Stars here. I'm not really sure why I like this film so much. Love the scene where Eddie has Word Man (Tom Berenger) play "Dark Side" just a little faster on the keyboard...and it all comes together beautifully. "Tender Years", as cheesy as it is, is still a great song. Nice touch by the Word Man on the fade out while playing out with the band somwhere. With the focus on people and specific events, the 60's setting seems like an afterthought.

I love this music and the music. You can still get the soundtrack. Michael Pare was an up and comer who soon fizzled out. But the story is so intriguing and seemed to have an element of truth.

A movie that honors Rock and Roll.... while weaving an interesting story about a fictional rock band with all the twists and turns that are to be expected of mysteries!!! Michael Pare's character "Eddie" is fantastic, as well as his "live" performances during the movie.... gives great insight into how music should be approached and felt. As if someone took the words from my mouth.... I immediately connected with this film!!!!
