The ultimate drive-in grindhouse flick from the director of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. A maniac hotel owner feeds his clientele to the giant croc living beneath his establishment. I can't recommend this flick enough. A+++

Tobe Hoopers follow up to the very famous 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre'. Some very cheesy effects in this one, once you get past that, the movie wasn't that bad.

Very bad movie..very slow and the acting is terrible..The follow up of TCM was a big dissapointment (for me anyway...)

Low budget horror from the 1970s that used to make it to video shops in the early 80s mixed between countless Michael Caine tat and Mutiny On The Bounty. Here the owner of a hotel feeds his guests to his pet crocodile after inflicting several injuries himself. Great hospitality. The cast isn't bad for the budget. In particular look out for a young Robert Englund in his pre-Freddy Kreuger days. The movie is directed by Tobe Hooper of Texas Chainsaw Massacre fame. The studio interiors of the hotel remind me of poor Granada Coronation Street sets. The DVD I watched was quite poor although I understand the movie has now being remastered and released in widescreen in the US. The crocodile mechanical effects are of Jaws Great White notoriety. The trouble with films like this is they are released with countless titles in different territories. In the UK it is Death Trap not Eaten Alive which is the US title of the movie. The movie did have a brief cinema release and was made prior to the boom of home VHS (or Betamax!).

Anyone who doesnt like this movie sucks and has no taste.This movie is great and is a classic!If you love horror this is where its at.This crazy old guy who talks some crazy talk to himsef the whole movie,has a pet crocodile,a dead monkey and is a sex crazed nut.Robert englund is a funny talkin hillbilly named buck,This movie is bananas!I've never seen anything else like it.The old man "judd"tries to get with would be female guests at his shitty hotel.When a chick refuses his advancements,he kills em and sometimes the pet croc will eat whats left.This movie is one of a kind.
