However incomplete, Nos Amis nevertheless stands as an engrossing portrait of the power of honesty and friendship, the permanence of art, and the perseverance of the human spirit.

It’s an engrossing, ultimately poignant chronicle.

Neil Genzlinger 09 Feb 2017

The vivid recollections of the attack by survivors, including Mr. Hughes, take over the film midway through, and the friendship story line never quite re-establishes itself.

The trauma, the aftermath and the healing. This documentary wasn't about the band or for the band, it's a remembrance and a recovery process. The horrible thing that happened and their path to heal that wound and move on. Really moving and that is its approach and that's the reason why it works so good.

You don’t have to be a follower of Eagles of Death Metal, or even glancingly familiar with their music, to appreciate the emotional power of Hanks’ deeply felt film.
