Dr. Henry Jekyll is a well-regarded physician whose evenings are spent researching a rare and sacred Amazonian flower so potent it's said to literally separate the soul, giving life to man's Dark Self. Easily the worst version of this much used storyline. The whole courtroom scenario was just too bizarre. Shame, as I quite like Dougray Scott but this was just plain awful

Originally I thought a modern remake of this classic tale had potential. However, this film alongside Cloverfield just goes to show how little Hollywood can use their imagination to turn this latent potential into something awe-inspiring.

The story of these two characters have alot of potential, and it is not brought forward in this movie. It's slow, boring and the ending is very predictable. Could have been much much better
