Gleeson's creation of the environment's tone through the visual, Don't Go builds a fascinating narrative which keeps you on edge right up until the final credits roll.

The idea of human memory as a kind of time machine is powerful, and writer-director David Gleeson and his co-writer Ronan Blaney make it pay it off well in their movie’s final 10 minutes. It’s the preceding 80 that are the problem.

Opting more for mystery and suspense than horror, the film takes too deliberate a path and leaves too much unsaid. That can be compelling when done in the service of a more powerful narrative, but too often here the story is just rudderless.
