The only film in the series that does the first one justice.

Now this should have been the version that was released in theaters. Warner Bros really screwed the pooch with this one. And I like Exorcist: the Beginning just as much as this one. But for continuity's sake, I'd have to give this one the edge. It's more true to Father Merrin and the Original Exorcist: more philosophical debate instead of a full-blown effects film. (even though the effects in both versions suck: the hyenas in particular.)

About the same as the one in the theaters only better, and less action oriented. Still should have been a bit better.

Dominion is indeed a plodfest, and though it's not as garish as Mr. Harlin's version, it's way too dire for its own good.
