Doghouse was very surprising in many ways. I didn't expect to have such a serious side to it. And I didn't expect that serious side to be so engaging, and almost touching in a way. It also wasn't as stupid and goofy as I thought it would be. Sure it's nothing original, but its really funny with a very distinct sense of humor and it tells the story well, whether or not that story is original. Doghouse is just a good time from start to end, with great characters, hilarious moments, and fairly clever writing. Although the writing isn't as sharp as it could've been, its still a thoroughly enjoyable story and a well-done film. It may even be near the same level as Shaun of the Dead, but at the same time, its miles away.

Just watched this film this weekend and GOD I LOVED IT! I think the people bad reviewing this film are reading too much into it - it's entertainment. I did not find this in anyway offensive or sexist - if anything it shows how much men are muppets (the same Match of the Day ringtone is hilarious!). The jokes are so well timed and so real. This is definitely in my top ten as favourite films. Laugh out loud and be entertained.
