This one is a fun love story... That treats the subject of transsexuals with some honest accuracy and even some respect. Two old High school friends run into each other on the streets of London... But a LOT has changed. The movie also addresses the question dreaded by all gay/lesbian/bi/trans people... Coming out to family, the boss and coworkers... And to old friends. The inability, and the unwillingness of the legal system to deal with the transgender community with any form of respect or equality is also looked into by this film. The question of how the transgendered... and those around them... deal with their sexuality is however the overriding question in this film as the two old friends come to terms with their new feelings for the other.

First off I must say I love the soundtrack. While a bit flawed, it is a cute love story. It is also one of the best portrayals of a transsexual woman I have seen in film. She is not pathetic and over compensating, like in some larger name films. She is not "oops, surprise it's a man" halfway into the flick. She is not a sex worker. Wow they managed to avoid the big three stereotypes and still be entertaining too. Good job guys.

Having lived some of the moments of the movie in my life, this light hearted movie captures my feelings, fears and hopes. It is a positive and affirming movie for me. It is different and offbeat for the typical person and this fact may expand or challenge them. It may be hard for some to accept and is therefore a waste of time. For me the movie captures what we all go through to find our core. Besides being entertaining this movie expands the common experience of our varied and beautiful life.
