Is it possible for Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame to be any more riotously over-the-top than it is?

A Chinese superior answer to Sherlock Holmes (2009), Li Bingbing is the hottest Chinese actress of our generation.

A Sherlock Holmes like film, with better plot twists, better action sequences and a perfect setting in Ancient China

A fun mystery full of political intrigue set in the kung fu world of the Tang Dynasty. Tsui Hark does a marvelous job of bring Detective Dee epic adventure to the big screen.

Funny, thrilling, beautifully made and most of all absolutely entertaining. The only problem of this film is the overuse of CGI and some slowness at the beginning. But the fighting scenes and the mystery plot make it absolutely worth watching.
