A very solid flick, Coppola meets Corman in a tale of suspense and mystery. Proof that low budget horror does not have to mean crap. Gothic, with a lovely score and good acting. See it!

An early Coppola horror/thriller flick with a taste of Psycho and Poe. A couple of scenes are still a little creepy to this day.

First film written and directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Not exactly a great movie, but the axe murder scenes were not bad.

This early Coppola-directed,Corman-produced thriller plays like most of Corman's horror films from the era: a cheap and cheesy but highly entertaining piece of B-movie fun. Dementia 13 manages to outshine some of the similar films through the genuinely twisted family history that serves as the backdrop to story's action.

Pretty bad writing and acting, and pretty boring actually, which is suprising considering it's a Francis Coppola film, but it's forgivable because a) it's one of his first movies and b) it's a Roger Corman production. Worth checking out at least once for curiosity's sake.
