A few magic rocks and tepid battle scenes do little to inspire interest in the goings-on as Malcolm McDowell and Eric Idle spout villainy and punch lines, respectively.

I've enjoyed watching alot of amateur short films from animation major graduates and the like on youtube, and I must say that the feeling I got from this whole movie was like a very long amateur film! There were alot of mistakes that are common with unexperienced animators' movies, like flow of the story or abdrupt scene changes. The style of the animation also adds to this impression. If this movie would have been made by a group of newly graduated animators then it's really really good. And it feels like it might have been. But if it is, and I fear it is, made by a real professional studio then it's a big fail. It's way too violent for children, too childish for anyone older and the way the movie is animated just won't catch anyone there to see some eye candy either...

Delgo is'nt a terrible animated movie. Sure the animation is'nt as great as Pixar or Dreamworks but it was pretty good. Anne Bancroft did a pretty good job as the villain, Freddie Prinz Jr. and Jennifer Love Hewitt did a decent job as the heroes, and Chris Kattan does a decent job as the the heroe's sidekick. The action scene's were also pretty decent. But the problem is that the story is simple and borrow's too much plot elements from other Fantasy film's. The character model's were ugly, they look like half-ape, half-elf, and half-human people and they are also boring. So in the end, kids will like it. Adult's, would skip this one.

The audio and animation were very amateur and the story line has much to be desired. I felt as though it was slightly racial.

Indifferently produced with on-the-cheap CGI animation, Delgo has gathered a B-name voice cast that competently moves the story along but doesn't distinguish it in any way.
