I like the look of this movie. It seems to have a different approach VS. the typical Hollywood movies. It is nice to see a smaller studio putting out a movie outside of Hollywood. I have always believed in supporting the independent, they need a chance to grow and compete with Hollywood and give us a choice to what we can see. I am going to take my kids to see this one, I also like the fact that there is a good message in this movie. Thumbs UP!

Decent flick that attempts to return to the formula of 80's cartoons: Tell a decent story, remove as much actual death as possible, and have some sort of moral lesson. As to moral lessons, this follows and even mixes many old formulas: Peasant plus princess, downtown plus uptown, breaking of racial barriers, racial tension, Democracy vs Monarchy, Buddism, Christianity, treachery, misunderstandings, war...all that rolls together to come to a nice little happy ending which the kids will enjoy.

I actually thought this was better than people gave it credit for. No there is nothing original about the story, its Romeo and Juliet with a larger scale more or less. But its charming, and the message of tolerance and understanding is valuable for kids. The voice acting was good, the animation was a little stilted at times, but overall it was enjoyable, and the fantasy world is realized well.

Was ok. animation detail was great. animation movements were OK. Waverly got bored halfway through but came back at the ending.
