Roméo and Juliette are two young actors. They fall in love at first sight, move in together and make a baby. A love story and the founding of a home like millions of others. J'avais un apriori avant de voir ce film car au hasard des boulots que j'ai fait, j'ai croisé Valérie Donzelli lors d'un tournage et j'avais pas accroché et du coup, je pensais que je n'accrocherai pas à son film. Et bien ce fût tout le contraire. Donzelli a vraiment réussi ce film à la fois très beau et très touchant. C'est bien réalisé, bien filmé et on n'est jamais dans le cliché ou dans le pathos. Le tout est d'une justesse car servi par une interprétation simple et bonne. A voir.

Don't be fooled by the cheery poster, Declaration of War is anything but a good time. The story of a young couple dealing with the a toddler son with cancer is unavoidably downbeat, despite the clunky shifts in tone. For the first half hour or so I admired the obvious craftmanship on display, but when the two leads broke out into song it took me right out of the film and I never got back into it. All I could think about is maybe if they stopped smoking so much their kid wouldn't have got sick in the first place. This has been a huge critical and commercial success in France, so clearly I'm in the minority on this one.

Des maladresses, trois minutes de "Christophe Honoré" en trop, sinon ça tient extermement bien la route, humour, mise en scène, scénar et acteur. Jolie film

O escolhido da França para o Oscar 2012, em muito lembra o indie americano Like Crazy, só que aqui além do amor existe também um motivo a mais, o filho Adam que tem um cancêr cerebral. Um filme pequeno e íntimo de como tal situação muda para sempre a vida dos dois e como lidar com isso. Um filme bonito, mas não espetacular. Gostei mais ao saber q o filme é baseado na vida dos protagonistas que realmente passaram por esta situação. Vale a pena conferir!
