It lulls the viewer, along with the protagonist, into a misty, dreamlike delirium until you’re not even certain of what’s right in front of your face.

Another fantastic work from Korea and Park Chan-wook. The decision to leave is perhaps the most complete film of Korean filmmaker Wook٫Fantastic film editing, precise camera movements, and finally, an incredibly wonderful director like Hitchcock!!! The only fault that can be taken from the movie is related to the script. The script could be more exciting considering its genre, but Wook showed his weakness here! And at the end of the movie, there is a free take on Hitchcock's vertigo, which may not be as big as it is, but it is comparable. In both movies, the suspense is excellent.

Painful to watch after an hour, I stayed because of a friend. The Director does not have control of his material, throwing up stuff on the wall to see what sticks. Because he is not sure, the movie is easily 45 minutes to one hour longer than it needs to be to make its points. The Director knows how create cheap jokes that could be confused for wittiness or boldness, but then one realizes that they only were thrown in and do not really help carry the story. In the end the plot seems both pointless and unsatisfying.

The twists and convolutions can seem overwhelming, but Park sustains this high-wire act effortlessly. It’s about trust, you see, about letting go, and doing so will reveal as sublimely satisfying a romantic mystery as you're likely to see.

Mais um espetáculo de cinema sul coreano. Uma "comédia romântica" extremamente diferenciada. Clima de suspense, tensão, drama, comédia e investigação policial em doses precisas. Qualidade técnica e atuações impecáveis. Final surpreendente.
