D.C. Cab (1983)

The tale of a hapless group of cabbies and a rundown cab company owned by Harold. Albert comes to town with a dream of starting his own cab company but needs to motivate Harold's employees to want to make something out of themselves. It is only when Albert is kidnapped that the cabbies must decide whether or not they are loyal to Albert and his cause.

I saw this movie on tv the other day. It was alright. haha. Mr. T & a bunch of up and coming stars at the time. The movie itself is goofy, but you have to love the 1980's style & music. A decent show for a few laughs.

This movie is a gigantic pile of crap, but it is an entertaining one. This movie is just sloppily written, acted, and directed, but still. First off, I am going to guess Gary Busey didn't do any of the lines scripted for him, as he seems like he was on one gigantic cocaine binge while he shot this movie. He is just off the wall in this movie, but he isn't the only one. Mr. T basically takes B.A. from the A-Team to the big screen, and still is always interested in helping kids and whores, as he shows up the local pimp with his tricked out taxi and advises a career change to a baker for one woman. The character of Tyrone is all over the place, playing the token black character and then switching it up and trying to be serious at times. The movie kind of just wonders for a good part of it, and then some how climaxes with a robbery-kidnapping that only the good ole D.C. Cab company can solve. This movie is an absolute mess, but it certainly does gives plenty of laughs, not so much on purpose.

the crazy zany antics of a group of misfits working for the down and out cab service in Wshington. Loads of soon to be great comics and insane moments make this the joel schumacher movie i truly love. just sit back and enjoy the mayhem

D. C. Cab is not an entirely bad movie -- it has its moments -- but if it had used more actual taxi-riding incidents and more recognizable driver types, it could have been a little masterpiece.
