I get what they were going for... and with a bigger budget it might have worked. The film ended about 20 minutes too soon while taking too long to get to the monster stuff. It's a shame because there were some really cool ideas that just fell short. The cast was excellent, they really were... but I feel like the director (Jack Heller) was a little too inexperienced as this is only his 2nd directorial credit. I'm sure it'll have its fans.

Also called Monster Hunter, it has a good mood and style, but the monster isn't seen enough and the story is not too engaging.

Somehow this has garnered half decent reviews. I'm not one of those. Completely disorganized movie. Starts off as a supernatural/faith despite trials thing, and morphs into a creature feature. Good actors, terrible script. Predictable ending as well.

Not enough innovation to break free from its budgetary and generic constraints. The whole plot is pretty tight though, and it may just warrant a watch for the slightly unconventional finale.
