Although the opening scene may have laid it on a bit thick, and some of the characters were over-the-top, I recommend seeing this film if you can.

a pure example of independent movies. I love it.

It's an unbelievably good looking for a dark subject, which expectedly lessens the impact of the actual furore going on in the lives of the protagonists. Even though I didn't relate to any of it, I liked the poetry in its visuals and ultimately the resilience it conveyed.
