I expected better. I knew it was a love triangle and I don't like those in general, but I liked the love triangle. And I liked the overall theme of trust. I guess they were trying to hard to be real with teenage sex, foul language and drug use, but I could deal with that too. But I was expecting something unique, but it just ended up being the same ole teeny bopper type of movie. Indie style, of course. The dialogue was ok, and I think the actors did great for the material they were given. There could have been more and there wasn't.

It's a unique idea with a lot of potential... I feel like it could have been a lot better done. The acting goes in spurts of being believable or provocative but for the most part it feels pretty amateur. The writing is lacking and uses a lot of unnecessary profanity which dumbs down the script that much more.

Such an original movie and I really liked it. The cast is new and unknown, no big name actors. Very believable dialogue with a lot of truth in the movie. Eileen Boylan is going to have a good career.

Donnie Darko it ain't. It is an indie teen angst coming of age movie, with a cast of unknowns. It's a bit simplistic, and the characters aren't given a lot of depth; but it's entertaining enough and has a sensible central message: truth is relative. Light entertainment with a soft centre.

Most of the movie is sarcastic, and the main character is completely bitchy. But Dakota Skye is not your average "superhero".
