This movie is really stupid....but totally hilairous. I loved it.

Extremely obscure B-Movie directed by Raimi and Written by the Coen Bros. Its too weird to be great, but there are some hilarious scenes, and quotable lines every other scene. The overall insanity of this film would have one thinking it would be a bright star in the cult-movie section, but it is still very difficult to find. Bruce Campbell is particularly funny in his role as the sleazy jerk. "Why dont we go back to my place for some scotch and sofa?"

one of the best overlooked comedies ever.

I wanted to like this so much because it's Sam Raimi, but I was fairly disappointed. For me, Raimi really hit his stride with Evil Dead II (I'm not the biggest fan of the original 'Evil Dead').

Only recommendable to those who derive a certain pleasure in seeing a directors history and aren't squeamish when it comes to lackluster B-messes. This is not a good movie, this is not a cult movie, this is a novelty movie. It is a collectors item. It has a few great scenes, and a couple of (always satisfying) Campbell moments. The rest of it is mostly incoherent and weird.
