An early comedy farce from the Coen Bros. Has its moments but something must have been missing as it seemed to drag a bit.

Only recommendable to those who derive a certain pleasure in seeing a directors history and aren't squeamish when it comes to lackluster B-messes. This is not a good movie, this is not a cult movie, this is a novelty movie. It is a collectors item. It has a few great scenes, and a couple of (always satisfying) Campbell moments. The rest of it is mostly incoherent and weird.

Weirdly brilliant in a surrealist musical horrorish but not sort of way. A mess admittedly but sort of greater because it is a mess.
