if you dont mind wathcing subtitles this is really good. Also watch city of god.

I really enjoyed this film. I thought the sequel had evolved the name from city of god just as some marketing scheme, but the title is actually very relavent to the story. The actions of the father can affect the son in essence. I thought it was brilliant, but I do love this type of cinema.

this movie should better be comprehended as the 5th and last season of the outstanding tv series "Cidade dos Homens"... it doesn`t reach its full potential in this format... the plot holes which are a bit irritating in the movie, will be filled out if you watch the series first... what is highly recommended, because this artfully told story of friendship and growing up in a world of poverty and violence, is some of the best stuff ever produced for television...

This isn't City of God, but is surely appreciated after watching the City of Men series, but just like the series you expect to find out more... hope they are thinking of doing a sequel or renew the series.
