An ambitious film, and the most significant cinematic export from Brazil in a long time. It's Pulp Fiction meets historical reality in the city of Rio de Janheiro.

This was just as good and real as City of God, both showed what life is really like for a lot of youths in Brazil! This movie was Bad A**!!!

One of the best series ever! It really does open a window to the world of the favelas and it does give some idea how different life could be for the some of the world have-nots! The three seasons are awesome.
