Churchill: The Hollywood Years (2004)

A group of American executives making a film about World War II decide that since their lead is rather unglamorous, they will draft in an American G.I. to play the part of Winston Churchill. For everyone who has ever watched a Hollywood revisionist history 'TRUE STORY!!!!' film and hated it for it's revisionist version of history, this satire is for you. It won't make you crack up laughing every five minutes, but it's definately worth a look.

Probably should have been called "The Comic Strip Presents... Churchill: The Hollywood Years", same writers, producers and many of the same actors. Either way, it's a hilarious take on the way the Hollywood studios re-write history to suit themselves. Well written, well acted and funny as hell. A must watch.

It's a very good premise that isn't really furfilled fully. The humour isn't that great, but it is entertaining, what really saves the film however is some great performances from countless British comics.

Very silly funny think hotshots and it's nice that film makers notice Hollywoods habit of re-writing history "Out of my way Irish Cockneys"
