I won't doubt this kind of stories really happened in Bahamas, or some under developed nowhere, or even in certain corners in some developed countries. Although sincere enough in attitude, the film sounds a bit corny & awkward in so many places, preachy sometimes. Still, some points being made, plus the beautiful Bahamas location. Margaret Laurena Kemp's character, supported by her remarkable acting, actually could have been more intriguing, further developed & being used- in the sense of drama.

Characters need to be more than vehicles for making a point, and a genuinely heartfelt tone is only partial compensation for an inability to convey the complexity of ideas.

A pesar de las buenas actuaciones no se salva de un guion lleno de lugares comunes en este tipo de cintas... en las que el protagonista se TIENE que morir para lograr una moraleja. Filmada en Las Bahamas, nos muestra la intensa homofobia que se vive en el lugar (no muy lejano a otros paises), entremezclado con la relacion de un pintor caucasico (Johnny) con un nativo de negra piel (Romeo) y como todo termina en tragedia. Cliche... tras cliche... que si se cuenta diferente puede valer la pena.
