An epic tale about a supremely intelligent young African-American male who rises from the ferocious and oppressive streets of North Philadelphia to being a shining star in the lucrative world of high finance at Wall Street's most prestigious firm. However, he soon finds that the white-collar world is filled with crime and death just like the drug-filled hood he left behind. Drawing inspiration from Niccolò Machiavelli's "The Prince" and "Sun Tzu's The Art of War", THE classic, go-to books for strategists, be they salespeople, stockbrokers or sports coaches, "Changing the Game" finds the connection between the mean streets of Philly and the cutthroat world of Wall Street and spins a tale of a smart man's rise to the top of the ladder, achieving financial success with its share of intrigue, deception and danger, and tells it with a little bit of 80's flair. The acting's not going to set the world of fire, but the work of this certainly talented cast of unknowns is good and well-suited to the material. Tighter, seamless editing would've helped, as well as a more polished script, but all in all, "Changing the Game" is an interesting analogy between two worlds that seem different but are more alike than you might think.

Changing the Game was a great, intelligent, and very inspirational film. If you're not a perceptive person and have no spiritual values, it's not the film for you. It will said over your head like the highest of planes. However, some, regardless of race, will get all of the nuances and uplifting messages. The film is a modern day morality tale that shows how a young and brilliant African-American male rises above this meager surroundings as a youth, and with the religious foundation he gained from his grandmother, he was able to transcend it and what he learned in the streets. The film is clearly not for the pessimistic athiest, but for the eternal optimist. One of the best and most ingenious films I've seen in a really long time!

It's obvious people are getting paid to review this movie. Unfortunately I fell into their trap. This movie was poorly acted and very poorly written and very poorly everything. My wife was pissed that I rented this movie. Lol. Seriously this movie is a very low budget terrible film! I am tired of all of these false reviews! Puke!
