Despite the strong acting (NBC trumps Lohan in every way imaginable), the show itself drags and is so slooow - the flaw is in such intimate examination of such a short period of time. The end result is repetitive and lacks a crescendo. I actually had to watch in shifts, finding myself easily distracted. The theater lover in me enjoyed seeing the couple bring a show to life, though. Overall, I'm glad I saw it, but doubt I'd want to sit through it again. 2.5 - 3-ish stars

Bonham Carter has a firm hand on a fundamental conflict within Taylor, which is that she seems like such an impossibly elegant, self-possessed woman at some moments and like such an infuriating flake at others.
