At times it is hard to know which disturbing images are meant as jokes and which are meant to shock, though it can be argued that this uncomfortable grey area is where much of the laughs are formed.

The result feels like a film that was made not because the director had an irresistible itch to tell the story but because crime capers based in North India, filled with sex and swear words, are supposed to be cool.

Long Live Brij Mohan! is a film that doesn't allow the viewer to take sides - it doesn't have an easy plot that makes it clear who is a good guy and who is a bad guy.

Indian cinema is improving ever so slightly. Arjun was great as his character. The story was fun but uneven in pace. Cliches were abundant and peripheral characters were quite stereotypical. Don't regret watching it though.
