Johnny To, the 2000ies genious in the art of directing, as De Palma was in the 80ies and Woo in the 90ties. The mane argument to make of this film one of the happy few wich should be shown in all schools is the first sequence, unforgetable

A stylized, simplistic action flick that feels realistic and isn't over exaggerated like many action flicks tend to be. The acting isn't the greatest, but it doesn't take anything away from the film. A nice critique on the media and the police manipulation of the media which is a reality that might not seem as far-fetched as many might think (even though it's more with military here in the US rather than police). Overall, great for what you get. Not familiar with Johnnie To, but I'll definitely looking into more of his films from now on.

Breaking News is quite out of the ordinary, providing a spiced action along with a psychological mediatic war. Strongly advised.

Awesome and beautiful single shot opening. High tension and well acted throughout. Very enjoyable.

Action packed film about a televised bank robbery that ends up being terribly mismanaged by the police. This spectacular Chinese production is signed Johnnie To, a master of the genre. It includes enough great special effects and amazing fight sequences to leave its audiences more than just satisfied.
