Blue Tiger (1994)

Gena is a sweet and dedicated mother to her little son. One day, whilst shopping with him for a halloween mask, her son is accidently shot through the chest by a Japanese Gunman, trying to kill an opposing gang of bus operators. Gena notices that the gunman has a picture of a blue tiger on his chest. She is turned into an obsessed person and has an identical red tiger etched into her skin. She then tracks down the killer and plots his death.

A Mixture of a Hard-Boiled Thriller & a Vengeance Story in a American-Japanese-Chinese Oversea Project with the gorgeous Virgina Madsen as a Hot White Angel of Revenge who fights against the Yakuza who kill their son and fell in Love with one of their Killers who is the mystic Blue Tiger excellent Directions, Camera Work & Action-Scenes / Martial Arts.

somewhat interesting ideas, better than average cinematography.....um....Ryo Ishibashi! and a criminally under used Harry Dean Stanton....this flick really seemed to lack direction....

Virginia Madsen is focused, Toru Nakamura has style (he is from the Yasuaki Kurata school). Too bad the script don't give them more opportunities. A remake HK style could give a much better result.

Just a very average action movie with oriental themes. Obviously Virginia Madsen cannot hold the whole thing by herself. Only good side of this movie is music.
