I must admit, I've had similar feelings about our current administration. It's predictable and some what silly at times, but I still enjoyed it.

Surprisingly darker than I was expecting. Had a hard time viewing Paquin's character as an Army Brat, but mostly due to appearances as opposed to her acting. Meyer and Paquin had a good chemistry. Glad I watched it.

I thought about leaving the country myself after Bush was reelected... but I'm glad I could live out that fantasy through this movie instead. I really enjoyed the political parts and I thought Anna Paquin's character was fascinating. Although it could have been done better and some parts could have been left out, it's message was loud and clear.

The film remarkably avoids much the preachiness it is prone to, although it does ultimately succumb to it quite often.

What's not to like? Well, there are some things, but overall, it's just fine.
