Martin Lawrence is a funny guy--I don't think his schtick is funny at face value, but I think his mere being is completely outrageous. He is funny in spite of his schtick, not because of it. It's difficult to explain, but I guess what I like about him is that he asks "what it is?" instead of "what is it?" In summary, this movie more than any other represents him for me and I thought it was just this side of decent.

not the funniest comedy,it has its some laughs story has been done before martin lawrence tries to hold it together

It doesn't even matter if he's a con, or just some dude stuck in the medieval age Lawrence is always the same--funny.

There are so many subtleties to this film that I cannot even begin to list them all. The undertones of revolution and the final moral in this heart-warming tale are underlined by the hilarity of the jokes. Martin Lawrence obviously has a very mature sense of humour and isn't afraid to show his softer more emotional side, as he does in this sprawling epic.

pretty damn funny for a martin lawrence movie.. ha
