During a trip to Germany to scatter their grandfather's ashes, German-American brothers Todd and Jan discover Beerfest, the secret Olympics of downing stout, and want to enter the contest to defend their family's beer-guzzling honor. Their Old Country cousins sneer at the Yanks' chances, prompting the siblings to return to America to prepare for a showdown the following year.

Watching Beerfest is akin to hanging out with that roommate that you find amusing and embarrassing in equal measure. No the jokes aren't all that funny, and no there isn't really much of a plot, but I can't help feeling a soft spot for the binge drinking cheeky bastard regardless. There's a certain lazy charm to it. And no; I don't feel like trying to explain what exactly that might be. Just bear in mind that Beerfest is more enjoyable if you turn it into a drinking game.

Just hilarious. The acting made me laugh, the director/drunk indian was just, ah perfect! corny at times, but it was still completly worth the laugh. Out of all the comedies this year, this is by far the best. Granted, for those of you who think vulgar humor isn't humor at all wont like it, but try and pull the stick out of yer butt long enough to see it.
