Put this one squarely in the “guilty pleasure” category. And keep in mind that if you can’t be entertained by a thirteen-year old girl ruthlessly dispatching evil-doers in ways that will make a horror film fans tingle with glee, this may not be your cup of tea.

Steve Pond 05 Jun 2020

For all its wide-eyed embrace of murder and mayhem, the film feels rote as it goes about its bloody business.

Barry Hertz 01 Jun 2020

With its gore and brutality and general nihilistic sensibility – not to mention an eyeball scene that would make Bunuel blush – Becky is not fit for 95 per cent of the populace, especially those who might innocently click on the title after recognizing the star of their favourite CBS sitcom. But for those who like to get dirty with this kind of scuzzy chaos, then this is near-perfect slimeball cinema.

Peter Travers 05 Jun 2020

This ultra-violent, ultra-stupid smarm-bomb deserves to take a few lumps before shuffling off to the digital boneyard.

Karen Han 10 Jun 2020

It’s a lean, smartly shot horror-thriller, and though most of the characters are thin, the performances lend them more depth.
