Generally light and frothy, the film's direction and ending is wholly predictable but Tautou helps to make the journey worthwhile.

Salvadori generates few laughs from this convoluted tale, whose romcom trappings sit uneasily with its lonely, troubled characters.

A contrived plot that provides some great laughs, thanks to a clever script and nice performances from Audrey Tautou, Sami Bouajila, Nathalie Baye and the supporting cast (especially the "Next victim" girl!) French farce at its best.
