The story has been told, the ending is predictable, but it has not been done so well in such a simple way, to say it has no depth or feeling is to not understand, is to not attempt to invest yourself in the emotions the characters express, the symbolism, nothing was over expressed like most movies, and yes the movie was beautiful, but emotions were expressed with real visible thought behind them, I would take this movie over either blade runner, chappy or any other similar movie, honestly surprised by the ratings here, only other comparable movie would be A.I. Artificial Intelligence, but that probably doesn't have a good rating either on here, do not let the reviews on here discourage you from seeing this film, its one to watch and own physically.

I like this movie very much. I wanted to get mad at Antonio's character for being so un-empathetic, but that was the point: he was out of his element.

It's a bit sketched out in terms of character development beyond the lead and the machines, Dylan McDermott is a cartoon for sure. All the bad guys are over the top clowns. But it was smart in its world building and as a kind of theatrical set piece I enjoyed it. Quite a bit in fact. It was great for a low budget sci fi film. Made at $15,000,000 for the production! i was pleasantly surprised going in with low expectations. Indeed it reminded me of the kind of story and characters common to the 80s sci-fi of Moebius, Enki Bilal & etc. Some smart design work. The budget shows but they use it to their advantage. Nice work Gabe Ibáñez and co, I'll be watching for your next thing. Just watch you're tropes!
